E> So the first task before each broadcast is a glossary sheet for that day's processes, keeping internal usage, subtitles and script aligned.

E> Moving the livestream in moves equipment; moving it out carries the distance already in the room.

English
A multilingual livestream is one broadcast carrying interpretation in several languages for audiences at home and abroad. Many words in a craft have no ready equivalent. Brushing lacquer is not painting; a drying room is not simply a drying room; hand-polishing is not polishing in the ordinary sense. Force a near-synonym into place and the viewer hears one familiar idea while understanding another.
One rule we settled on while preparing: explain how it is done, how long it takes and why it is done that way, and only then give it a name in English. The name is the outcome; understanding is the process.
The Second Problem: Stating Time Without Exaggeration
Overseas viewers rarely ask whether something is beautiful; they ask how long it takes. Time varies with the stage, the weather and the material.
We give a range rather than a promise: what unit this stage is measured in, what conditions move it, why it cannot be compressed. Clarity earns more trust than a tidy number.
According to the China Intangible Cultural Heritage website, Pingyao polished lacquerware was listed as national intangible cultural heritage in 2006; pieces of this Shanxi craft are among those regularly set out in the Salon.

The Third Problem: Comments Arrive in Several Languages
Once live, comments arrive mixed. The same question may come in Chinese, English and several other tongues at once; captions scroll quickly and interpreters can only answer what matters most.
The solution is clumsy but works: prepare cards for the questions that come up most — origin, care, whether bespoke orders are possible, how long shipping abroad takes. When someone asks, push the card and answer in detail;
Last is judgement: no invented honours, no exaggerated scarcity, no last-few-pieces urgency. Overseas buyers pay because they understood, not because they were pressed.
What do multilingual heritage livestreams usually cover?
Three kinds: how the maker works, the story behind the object, and basics including care. The point is not performance but making the making legible. YUNHEMING streams multilingually with interpretation.
What do overseas viewers ask most often?
Four come up constantly: origin, care, commissions and shipping times. All four can be prepared in advance.
Beyond livestreaming, what else does YUNHEMING do for makers?
Filming their work, translating it, and giving it a stage. We shoot products and processes on site, render them into several languages so overseas audiences follow them, and set the camera inside the Salon so maker and object appear together. The work itself belongs to the master; all the rest is ours.
