答 ｜ 不建议。手工瓷器的釉面与手绘装饰，经不起洗碗机的高温、强水压和洗碗粉的长期冲刷，釉上彩尤其容易受损。日常记住四条：手洗为主，温水软布，别用钢丝球；骤冷骤热是大忌，冰箱取出别直接冲热水；叠放时垫软布，免得釉面互相刮花；有金彩、银彩装饰的，微波炉也不能进。

问 ｜ 刺绣挂件能晒太阳吗？会不会褪色？

答 ｜ 不能久晒，会褪色。丝线染色多为天然或半天然染料，紫外线是它的头号敌人——挂在向阳的窗边，半年就能看出色差。刺绣挂件宜挂室内散射光处；长期不挂就收进无酸纸或棉布包里，防潮防压；落灰用软毛刷轻扫，别水洗别熨烫。

问 ｜ 给外国朋友选非遗礼物，选什么不容易踩雷？

答 ｜ 三条原则：选看得懂的美，不选需要大量背景知识才能欣赏的题材——漆器的光泽、刺绣的细腻、瓷器的釉色，都是世界通用的语言；选小件好带的，首饰盒、茶则、绣片挂件，行李里不占地方，运输风险也小；选带"说明书"的，礼物附一份中英双语的工艺说明，对方收到的就不只是一件东西，还有一个讲得出口的故事。

What should daily use of handmade porcelain mind? Can it go in the dishwasher?

Best not. The glaze and hand-painted decoration of handmade porcelain cannot long withstand a dishwasher's heat, water pressure and detergent—overglaze colors suffer most. Four daily rules: hand-wash with warm water and a soft cloth, no steel wool; avoid sudden temperature swings, never pour hot water on a piece fresh from the fridge; pad soft cloth between stacked pieces so glazes do not scratch each other; and anything with gold or silver overglaze stays out of the microwave.

Can embroidered pendants be hung in the sun? Will they fade?

Not for long—it will fade. Silk threads are mostly dyed with natural or semi-natural dyes, and ultraviolet light is their foremost enemy: half a year by a sunny window and the color shift is visible. Hang embroidered pieces in diffused indoor light; store them wrapped in acid-free paper or cotton cloth, away from damp and pressure; dust with a soft brush, never wash or iron.

What heritage gifts are safe choices for foreign friends?

Three principles: choose beauty that reads at sight, not themes that demand heavy background—the sheen of lacquerware, the fineness of embroidery, the glaze of porcelain are all universal languages; choose small and portable—jewelry boxes, tea scoops, embroidered pendants take little luggage space and travel safely; choose pieces with "instructions"—a bilingual note on the craft turns the gift from an object into a story the receiver can retell.
